Interesting Graph

One of the most though provoking graphs I have every encountered. Courtesy of ‘A Farewell to Alms’ by Gregory Clark.
Update: The conversation that accompanies this graph is a discussion regarding the correlation (positive, negative, or the lack thereof) between income and child births. This link may indicate where the US stands. Very interesting.

  2. I think it is very interesting to note that not everyone benefits from events such as the Industrial Revelution. One might think such an event would help everyone grow and improve but in economics there is always a "winner" and a "loser".

  3. The link about childbirth is very interesting. I would hope that some of the problems the middle class is now facing will be an eye opener about how a significant portion of our society lives on a day to day basis regardless of the recession.
