It is great that consumers are feeling some relief. however this is at a timw when most can not afford the bare nessecities so luxury items are out of the question. I have noticed a small price reduction in fringe items but the united states has not reached the huge level of unemployment that spain has. 20 percent unemployment is enough to send a country into another great depression. I hope levels dont reach that high in the united states.
ReplyDeleteAlthough consumers are feeling relief on many goods workers are still being terminated to help maintain certain profit margins. I didn't realize that many other countries where in such reccesion much like the United States. When consumers have some relief on the prices of goods it will make consumers to spend more...but at the same time with the lay-offs and the firings is this helping the Spanish economy?
ReplyDeleteWow The economy of Spain must of been quite interesting. 50 years of the same upward trend in consumer prices is almost unheard of.
